Founder Story

Xap™ was established by a team of entrepreneurs working with best UI/UX & Backend developers to create a revolution in childcare management. Based in Melbourne, we’re proud to deliver a complete childcare management software solution for childcare centres, OSHCs and Kindergarten’s right across Australia.

About 15 years ago, Piyush Kotadiya and Ruchir Parekh started a web design agency called 23 Digital. Their focus was on big, corporate clients, but on the side, they wanted to create something innovative for the education industry.

When Ruchir had his first child attend childcare, he often had to fill-out lengthy paper forms and hardly ever received updates about his child. During pickup time, he had to read about his child’s day on the board and would often forget.

That is where the Xap’s idea was born. Both Ruchir & Piyush started industry research and couldn’t believe that the industry was still dominated by desktop-based software and industry was still largely operated on paper.

Xap was designed as an alternative to the oversized, expensive desktop-based software. It gave small business owners who lacked the high-end tools and resources of their larger competitors access to technology that empowered them and helped them grow.

Piyush and Ruchir loved serving busy childcare directors & educators, because understanding small businesses is in their DNA.

While the new company started as a cloud based childcare management tool, our customers repeatedly asked us to spread our magic to other channels like in-built business intelligence, AI driven promotional & marketing tool. They taught us that Xap’s brand promise is to help childcare businesses “look pro and grow,” no matter the channel.
